Areas of Practice
Abbey has a busy practice across the range of Chambers common law work.
Civil
Having previously worked as the Commercial Lawyer for the Commercial Court of the Court of Appeal, as well as a Judicial Assistant to the Civil Court of Appeal, Abbey has a great breadth of civil law experience including, employment, family, judicial review, personal injury and clinical negligence.
Abbey is regularly instructed in small claims and has been instructed in a variety of matters including bankruptcy, school appeals and road traffic accidents.
During pupillage Abbey gained wide experience of personal injury work including drafting advices on liability and quantum.
Criminal
Abbey is regularly instructed to both prosecute and defend. Her experience extends across a wide span of offences including common assault, sexual offences, theft, possession of a bladed article, driving offences and offences contrary to the identity act.
Abbey regularly appears in the Crown Court, Magistrates Court and the Youth Court and has experience representing vulnerable persons.
Abbey accepts both publicly funded and private instructions.
