Areas of Practice
I have a common law practice, receiving instructions in crime, family and general civil law.
Crime
My criminal practice encompasses both prosecution and defence work. I regularly prosecute in the Crown Court, Magistrates' Court and Youth Court. I have prosecuted a variety of offences and have considerable trial experience. In my defence practice, I have appeared in the Crown Court, Magistrates' Court and Youth Court. I have dealt with offences ranging from firearms offences to motoring offences. I accept both publicly and privately funded instructions.
Prior to being called to the Bar, I completed an internship with the Trial Chamber at the International Criminal Court and an internship with defence counsel at the International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia. I also worked for the non government organisation Global Alliance Against Trafficking in Women.
In 2011, together with Nicholas Doherty, another member of these chambers and Laura Saunsbury, the well known firearms licensing solicitor at Lewis Nedas, I was part of the authors team providing additional material for The British Firearms Law Handbook, published by Sweet & Maxwell. The book is recognised as the leading work both for lawyers and the public regarding firearms law and licensing in this country.

Family
I am regularly instructed in private law Children Act cases, including applications for contact and residence orders and non molestation orders. I have acted for both the Applicant and Respondent in these matters. During pupillage with Chambers, I had exposure to all areas of family law.
Civil
In my civil practice, I am regularly instructed to act for the Claimant in personal injury and tort law disputes. I also provide written advice, primarily on quantum of general damages. I also receive instructions in the field of general civil litigation, including landlord and tenant and contractual disputes. During pupillage, I gained experience in drafting pleadings, writing advices and litigating a variety of civil law matters, including employment law.
