Areas of Practice

Lisa represents both Claimants and Defendants primarily in the fields of personal injury and contractual disputes, and undertakes work in the general field of civil litigation. Lisa has significant trial experience in respect of both small claims and the fast track and is regularly instructed in interlocutory applications across each of the tracks.  In particular, she was recently instructed in relation to an allocation hearing involving a complex and unusual jurisdictional point.

In addition to advocacy, Lisa regularly provides written and oral advice and settles relevant documentation across her practice areas. She has swiftly gained a reputation for approachability and common-sense solutions to intractable problems.

Lisa has in addition to her core areas of practice had considerable exposure to employment law matters. In the course of her pupillage Lisa produced schedules of loss, skeleton arguments and drafted applications pursuant to the Employment Procedure Rules which were adopted by her supervisors and utilised during the proceedings. Prior to pupillage she represented a Respondent at the Hull Employment Tribunal. 

Lisa is also able to accept instructions that involve an element of substantive international law or jurisdictional issues, having specialised in the course of her studies in various aspects of International Law and having competed in the Telders International Mooting Competition held at the Hague, Netherlands.
