Sophie Chaplin
Areas of Practice
Crime
Sophie has a busy criminal defence practice, being regularly instructed as trial advocate in the Crown Court in various matters including burglary, robbery, conspiracy, drug offenses, ABH and sexual offences. She also has extensive knowledge and experience in road traffic matters, and is a contributor to a motoring defence website.
Sophie also has experience prosecuting in the Magistrates and Crown Court.
Family
Sophie is regularly instructed in both private and public child care/contact matters, and has successfully conducted a number of fact finding and final hearings.
Civil
Having previously worked as a legal assistant within the civil litigation department at a law firm, Sophie has experience of personal injury cases and has been instructed in fast track matters and possession hearings.
