About Us

4 King’s Bench Walk was established by a group of seven barristers on 15th February 1972 and has grown to become a set of over 50 members offering specialist advocacy and advisory services at all levels of seniority. We are a dedicated common law set offering expertise in a range of practise areas including Crime, Family, Personal Injury, Employment, Housing and Immigration. A number of our counsel are specialists in one of these areas, whilst many offer a breadth of experience across the common law. The range of knowledge available in chambers enables us to provide the requisite knowledge for each case.

We still practise from 4 King’s Bench Walk in the Temple and are supported by a team of 7 clerks, including two fees clerks, with extensive experience in assisting both lay and professional clients. Our clerks are able to provide advice on the suitability and availability of practitioners in chambers, and we aim whenever possible to provide continuity of counsel.

Members of chambers regularly give seminars in their specialist fields and we are recognised by the Law Society for our provision of accredited seminars for continuing education. Seminars are advertised on our website, but we are also willing to offer other seminars on request.

We offer national coverage – While we still maintain strong links with our roots on the midland circuit and in the Thames Valley, our barristers are now regularly instructed in cases throughout the UK.

Please call our clerks on 020 7822 7000 who will be pleased to talk to you about your needs and the suitability and availability of Counsel
