Adam William's client was found Not Guilty after 7 day trial

After a seven-day trial at St Albans Crown Court, Adam William's client was found Not Guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm with the jury returning their verdicts after just over an hour of deliberations. 

Adam was instructed by Nathan Taylor-Allkins of Woodfines privately from an early stage of proceedings. Through Adam and Nathan's diligent preparation, a number of disclosure issues were discovered. Following numerous applications for disclosure, the Court ordered three separate wasted costs orders against the Crown Prosecution Service due to their poor conduct and handling of disclosure. 

The case involved Adam's client and his 16-year-old son allegedly holding and beating the complainant resulting in a broken nose. That aspect was caught on various mobile phone videos. Adam's client ran a case of self-defence and defence of another. CCTV was later obtained which showed the complainant entering the area and aggressively pulling up a face covering whilst approaching the defendants. 

The result is a testament to what can be achieved with good teamwork.
