An allegation of rape and sexual assault dating back to the end of December 2017 where the police had failed to investigate the existence of vital evidence as part of the defendant’s case. After many delays in the police investigation, the trial was finally heard in February 2026. The jury returned not guilty verdicts in 15 minutes.
