Philip Anderson instructed by Anudeep Sanghera of Greenwich Solicitors, has successfully represented his client at a final hearing considering allegations of parental alienation. Following a cross examination of the other party by Philip that was described by the Judge as comprehensive and pulling no punches, the Judge made strident findings that the other party had intentionally engaged in a persistent course of emotional harm and manipulation over the last several years which had the intended effect of alienating the child from a parent completely. Notwithstanding the at this stage the vehement opposition to contact from the child, the Judge was persuaded that the appointment of a children’s guardian and a continuation of proceedings would be necessary to unpick the harm done to the child and in due course move towards restoring that relationship with the alienated parent.
