Phil Anderson instructed by Sartaj Haque of Duncan Lewis Solicitors has successfully represented his client in a 5 day fact-finding hearing considering allegations of coercive control, domestic violence, financial control and (latterly at trial) sexual abuse of a child. A total of 12 allegations were considered all of which were found not proven. In a thorough cross-examination that traversed the full arc of the parties relationship, the Judge noted that the complainant was someone who was clearly in control, knew what they were doing and were strong willed to the point of being cruel on a number of occasions in evidence. The Judge had no hesitation in making an immediate order for the resumption of contact.
