Rhian Wood secures unanimous acquittal in intentional strangulation and battery trial at Reading Crown Court.

Rhian Wood, instructed by Paul Gilmartin of Albin & Co, represented a young man in his 20s accused of assaulting and strangling a female on Eton High Street in Eton Wick in August 2024. This was witnessed by two members of the public who called the police and ran to the female’s aid. The Defendant’s case was that he was not the male and that he had been wrongly identified. Following a two-day trial, the jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts on both counts.
