Success for Jenny Lanigan instructed by Kesar and Co solicitors in claim for false imprisonment and breaches of the Human Rights Act 1998

Jenny Lanigan, instructed by Kesar & Co, represented a claimant in his claim against the Ministry of Justice. The claimant had been imprisoned in error for a period of 112 days, during and after which, his mental health significantly deteriorated. The claimant sought damages for his unlawful imprisonment and breaches of Articles 5 and 8 of the Human Rights Act 1998.  Following Jenny's advice and drafting, the claimant secured a swift and favourable settlement.
