Nicole welcomes instructions in all of Chambers’ practice areas, including crime, family, immigration, public and civil law.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Nicole worked as a Judicial Assistant in the Court of Appeal to the President of the Family Division and to the Vice President of the Court of Appeal (Civil Division). In addition, Nicole gained hands on experience as a family paralegal and as an international injury paralegal at two leading law firms.
Crime
Nicole accepts instructions in the Magistrates, Youth, and Crown Court and is CPS Grade 1 qualified.
She regularly appears in the Magistrates and Crown Court, having represented clients at first appearances, case management hearings, sentences, and trials. Nicole has experience defending vulnerable clients and has a particular interest in youth court work.
Family
Nicole welcomes instructions across all areas of family law.
In her role as Judicial Assistant to the President of the Family Division, Nicole gained exposure to complex legal issues in family law and the court of protection in the High Court and Court of Appeal including adoption, child abduction, international relocation, secure accommodation, and transgender issues. Her work as a family paralegal included representing parents in complex care proceedings where she gained extensive experience in working with vulnerable clients.
Nicole is regularly instructed to appear in the family courts. Most recently, Nicole represented a mother pro bono at a DRA in private law children proceedings.
Civil
Nicole appears in the County Court across a wide variety of civil cases, including road traffic accidents and personal injury claims on the small claims and fast track. She accepts instructions to advise and draft pleadings on behalf of claimants and respondents.
Immigration
Nicole accepts instructions in all areas of immigration law. She is regularly instructed to represent clients in asylum appeals and in applications for immigration bail.
Public Law
Nicole welcomes instructions in all areas of public law. She has appeared as a clerk, advising appeal panels in respect of school admissions.
Pro Bono
Throughout her legal training, Nicole has shown dedication to pro bono work, having volunteered for the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre, Zacchaeus 2000 Trust, and Amicus-ALJ.
Most recently, Nicole appeared pro bono at a DRA through Advocate and successfully applied for immigration bail through Bail Immigration for Detainees.
