Immigration

The 4KBW immigration and asylum team provides high quality advocacy, representation and advice in the full range of immigration work, both private and publicly funded.

Asylum and Human Rights

We are specialist asylum and human rights lawyers. Our advocates appear in the First-Tier and Upper Tribunals, as well as the Court of Appeal. We are experienced in working with vulnerable clients, including victims of domestic violence, trafficking and unaccompanied children.

Business and Private

We advise on EU law, the Settled Status Scheme, and the Points-Based System, including extensive work on behalf of high net worth individuals. Our specialist barristers can assist with applications to come to the UK as a skilled worker, student, temporary worker, entrepreneur, investor or graduate. We can also assist in satisfying Home Office requirements for extending your stay in the UK.

We can also provide expert advice if you are seeking indefinite leave to remain or permanent residence in the UK, and help you navigate the complexities of nationality law.

Detention

Our barristers are able to assist in matters arising from immigration detention, including but not limited to bail applications and claims for civil damages following detention under the Immigration Acts.

We are proud of our work with the charity Bail for Immigration Detainees, for whom we regularly act pro bono.

Public Access

We have advocates trained in public access so that members of the public can, in appropriate cases, instruct them without using a solicitor. Our clerks are happy to speak with you to discuss whether you might be able to take advantage of this.
