More success for Jyoti Wood

Jyoti Wood instructed by Hannah Newberry secured a successful outcome for her client, the Mother, at a complex 4-day Fact-Finding Hearing centering on allegations of domestic abuse, and coercive and controlling behaviour. 

The case presented significant challenges including the Mother's vulnerability, and concerns over the Father's cognitive function. 

In addition to the wide-ranging allegations of physical, emotional and verbal abuse, there was a specific issue concerning explicit and degrading messages sent by the Father to an adolescent third party, which he disputed responsibility for; this required extensive analysis of his social media usage and highly technical IP address evidence, which demonstrated that he had sent the messages.

All allegations of abuse including coercive and controlling behaviour, and the sending of degrading and misogynistic digital communications were found proved.
