Nadia Chbat secured acquittal of 18yr old charged with Murder

Nadia Chbat secured acquittal of 18yr old charged with Murder after 6 week trial at Birmingham Crown Court before Mr Justice Choudhury.

The jury found her client Not Guilty, accepting the forensic analysis Miss Chbat had presented of the CCTV and other crucial evidence.

Miss Chbat was instructed by Nathan Taylor-Allkins, of Woodfines Solicitors on a private basis, as Junior alone.
 
The defendant, was out with a group of friends, one of whom had a large knife hidden down his trousers. The jury were shown extensive CCTV footage ,which showed the group together for around 40minutes appearing to wait for the victim. The stabbing was captured on CCTV.

The defendant was seen on CCTV, as part of the group, to move his hand to his waistband. The Crown’s case was he too was carrying a weapon which he was preparing to use had the incident with the victim and main offender escalated.

The defendant ran away from the scene with the stabber and clothing and the knife was discarded. This too was captured on CCTV. The police found one knife and two knife sheaths at that location. The Crown’s case was both men had armed themselves ready to attack although only one knife had been found.

The defendant remained with the stabber and ran away to London to hide from the deceased family and police. On his arrest he lied to the police in interview.
