Richard Moss secures acquittal for Attempted Murder

Richard Moss instructed by Dean Johns of John Onions Solicitors represented a young defendant at Birmingham Crown Court facing trial for attempted murder. The incident related to the shooting of a victim when attempting to rob him of his watch and was captured on CCTV. He was shot in the chest but thankfully survived. The defendant had already pleaded guilty to attempted robbery and possession of a prohibited firearm. At trial the defendant did not give evidence. Mr Moss gave a speech on the issue of intent. The jury acquitted of attempted murder and convicted on the alternative offence of s.18 GBH.
