Hilary is the our Civil clerk with responsibility for the Civil Litigation, Property and Commercial, and Employment Teams.

Hilary joined Chambers in April 2009 after its successful merger  with a team of 14 barristers from 2 Gray’s Inn Square, where she was part of the clerking team for three years.

She began her career as a civil servant in the County Court , moving on promotion to the Offices of the Official Solicitor. Hilary then worked  for eight years at the High Court, firstly as an Associate then as a listing officer in the Clerk of the Rules office, before making a successful transition to the position of Barristers’ Clerk at 2GIS.

As a result, Hilary has in depth knowledge of court procedure and practice and brings this experience to bear as a Civil clerk. Her knowledge of the court system is invaluable in ensuring that she is able to liaise proactively with court staff and listing officers to the benefit of clients.

Hilary combines a friendly and approachable manner with efficiency and dedication, applying her knowledge of her specialist areas and of her barristers to ensure that clients are provided with the best representation and service available.
